My adorable Allie, who is now 4 1/2 years old, had this horrendous cold that was going around and lasts for two weeks. Unfortunately, she had the first ear infection for our family with it also.
Allie has been on ear drops for the past several weeks, being checked by our dr every couple of days to see if the bacteria was finally leaving. They think her ear drum ruptured as well. So not fun. Thankfully, we have a dr that is not quick to proscribe antibiotics and is willing to try other ways first.
So yesterday, Allie is in for her final checkup. She decides she needs to use the washroom before seeing the dr. Don't worry this isn't gross. The lights in the washroom turn on automatically when there's movement in the washroom and off when there isn't.
Well Allie was very still in the washroom. So still that the lights went out.
All of a sudden I hear this little voice call out, "My name is Allie MacKay... and... I'm scared of the dark!"
I'm on the other side of the door waiting, I opened the door a tad and the lights came back on, much to the appreciation of Allie. She didn't see me open the door, and she calls out, "Thank you!"
Oh it gave me chuckles for the rest of the day. I love that little girl so much.
A picture is worth so much.
