My Baby is 10!

I can't believe that Patrick is 10! His birthday was Monday and I suck for posting.

Patrick had his party on Friday evening. A bunch of friends over to eat cake and ice cream, have tonnes of munchies and watch a movie from 7-10pm. Some were getting a little sleepy the closer it came to 10pm. Good group of kids and fun.

On Monday Patrick got to celebrate again. He got to pick what we ate for the entire day. Chocolate Chip Pancakes for breakfast, chicken noodle soup for lunch, and pizza and garlic fingers from Pizza Delight for supper. Plus carrot cake and ice cream.

He got his present from us finally after supper. He really wanted an ipod touch and made a deal with us to do it as a combo birthday/Christmas present with him contributing a little bit as well.

He was so sure that he was getting it and I didn't want to just hand it over to him, where's the fun in that? So I wrapped up a book that he wanted and he was happy to get it, but the look on his face questioned, "isn't there more?" We told him that the store was out of ipods and there wouldn't be any back in for several weeks. He was good about it but disappointed.

I told him that I had downloaded several apps for him and since we didn't have his ipod, I put them on mine and he could go and get it and try it out. As he went to get mine, he found his all wrapped up and on my night stand. He was so happy. It was so worth it.

I just can't believe he's 10! Wasn't he just born like a year or so ago?
